20 line Antique Tuscan No. 9 w/ PAGE & CO
manufacturer stamp that indicates it was created prior to 1870.
20 pica or just over 3.25 inches. 46 characters total. Uppercase letters and punctuation.
Some characters in remarkable condition, some with the scars/cuts that come with being over 100+ years old. A few characters have been hand modified into other letters. For instance the "H" is also an "R" cut on the reverse side. (see photos of H & R)
The typeface design was first shown by Wm H Page Co in his 1859 specimens.
