  • Condition: EXCELLENT CONDITION. BRIGHT WHITE PLATE WITH BROWN TERRA COTTA BACKSIDE. VIVIDLY COLORED HAND PAINTED GRAPHICS WITH HIGH GLOSS GLAZE. THERE ARE NO CHIPS, CRACKS, STAINS, CRAZING, OR SIGNS OF SURFACE WEAR NOTED. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF VERY MINOR UTENSIL MARKINGS THAT ARE SUPERFICIAL WITH NO COLOR LOSS.

    Description

    Offering this  vintage Mid Century Modern Fruit Purple Plums salad plate by Stangl Pottery.  This plate is hand painted and vary slightly from plate to plate.  They feature two purple plums ripening on a tree branch with leaves.  There is a blue green inner border with a bright yellow ring surrounding it.  There is a brown scroll design on the outer edge and a yellow rim.  There is a high gloss glaze finish.  The plate is 8 1/4 inches in diameter.  There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or signs of surface wear present.  There are a couple of very minor utensil markings that are superficial.  There is no loss of color and minimal loss of glaze that would be consistent with age and usage.  This plate continues to show beautifully and I consider it to be in excellent condition.
