    Description

This auction is for a Antique Sandwich Lacy Toy Flint Glass Vegetable Dish on Foot, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, Sandwich, MA., c. 1835-50. This is a rare antique child's toy vegetable dish that is hard to find as they were played with by children and most were broken long ago. The glass has a three leaf, fleur-de-lys pattern in flint glass around the sides with a scroll border around the foot. The toy glass dish is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" by Barlow and Kaiser, #3346b; where a small lacy vegetable dish in clear glass booked for 5 back in 1987. This example is in As Found condition as it has been in two pieces and glued back together. But, this is a very hard to find toy that I have only had three times in nearly 40 years. I offer the lacy glass vegetable dish with a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The oval dish is 1" H. x 1 3/16" W. x 1 13/16" L.. CONDITION: This example is in As Found condition as it has been in two pieces and glued back together. For a child's toy 170 years old that is still very good condition. SHIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping costs based upon the 12 ounces weight and postal zone. Please use the shipping calculator within this listing to calculate postage within the continental United States. This includes professional packing with USPS delivery.
