  • Condition: Scratch marks in the bowl as it was used to serve food. Glaze on the inside shows cracking. Discoloration on the inside matches placement of outside clay decoration. There is a hairline crack that goes to both sides of the bowl. I've owned this bowl for many years and this crack is stable. Used for decor only and I do not recommend it be used to serve hot or cold food.

    Description

    I don't often see Frankoma ware in the White Sand Glaze.  According to research, this glaze was available from 1942 to 2010; Frankoma Pottery closed in 2010.
    This bowl is in good condition.  Due to hairline crack through the bowl, using to serve hot or cold food is not recommended.  The properties of the fired red clay is unknown.  Use for decor only.
