The GX-100 is equipped with the AIRD amplifier inherited from the flagship model GT-1000. The GX-100 delivers dynamic tube amp sound and excellent response. The GX-100 is equipped with 23 carefully selected, high-quality amp types, including one for bass. You can choose from a wide range of characters, from classic styles to BOSS original models. By using the dedicated application and loading external IR data, the possibilities for sound creation are further expanded.
High-quality effects
More than 150 of the best BOSS effects inherited from the flagship GT-1000 are included. The effects range from standard overdrives and distortions to ring modulators and other effects for aggressive sound creation. Effects that use the algorithms of the X-series, the digital pinnacle of compact pedals, and effects designed specifically for bass are also included. The reverb and delay support carryover, which allows reverb to remain when turned off. This provides natural sound switching when switching memory. The SEND/RETURN jack allows you to use not only your favorite effect pedals, but also an amplifier for routing via the 4-cable method connection, and combine them with the GX-100's sounds to store them in memory for instant recall.
Highly flexible sound creation
While the GX-100 offers many ready-to-use memories, sound creation from scratch is also easy. Up to 15 effect blocks can be used simultaneously, and effects can be assigned easily and freely by dragging. Up to two preamplifiers can be used simultaneously, allowing for precise sound creation, such as connecting different types of preamplifiers in parallel using dividers, and mixing the desired balance of tones using a mixer. Up to 200 settings can be stored in the unit.
Smooth and streamlined operation
The GX-100's interface is streamlined and well designed. The highly visible color display is touch-sensitive and, in combination with the four knobs mounted below the display, allows for smooth operation. Operations that require large movements, such as adding effect blocks or changing the connection order on the routing screen, can be performed by dragging the display, while fine-tuning the parameters of each effect can be done with the four knobs.
Highly flexible control functions
The eight footswitches can also be used as switches to control individual parameters. A current number function is also provided to activate any function by pressing the footswitch of the selected memory again, so you can change the memory from backing to lead, then press the same footswitch again to turn on the delay, and so on. The expression pedal can also be used conveniently to turn on the tuner when the volume is turned down. The main unit alone provides a full range of controls. The GX-100 is also equipped with an external expansion jack, so you can add an expression pedal to use a volume pedal and a pedal effect, or send a signal from the GX-100 to switch channels on an amplifier. Various devices can also be controlled.
Convenient Functions
The GX-100 is a versatile multi-effects pedal that can be used in a variety of situations, including recording to a DAW via the USB audio interface and practicing at home using the headphone jack. By setting up a looper on the effect block, you can perform solo performances or create sounds with phrases played over and over again.
Dedicated application BOSS TONE STUDIO
The GX-100's dedicated BOSS TONE STUDIO application (Windows/Mac) allows sound creation on a PC, as well as memory backup, management, and replacement using the librarian function. With the optional Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL), you can use the BOSS TONE STUDIO (iOS/Android) wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet, and also play audio via Bluetooth.
