    Antique Sandwich Clear Glass Toy Hexagonal Spooner, "Horizontal Lines" Pattern, c. 1850-1870. This adorable little clear glass spooner is an early piece of flint glass that was manufactured as a toy for a child more than 150 years ago. This pattern is called "Horizontal Lines" and it was produced at the Sandwich Glass houses during the middle of the 19th century. The toy glass spooner is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" by Barlow and Kaiser, #3334; where a toy spooner in clear glass booked for back in 1987. I offer this fine clear glass toy spooner with a Buy It Now. SIZE: This rare toy spoon holder is 1 3/4" H. x 1 9/16" Dia. at the top and 1 1/16" Dia at the base. CONDITION: The condition is very good with a tiny chip to the rim, some minor nicks and wear off the rim. There are also straw marks, bubbles, sand and other imperfections in the glass typical of glassware from this very early period.
