    Perth Mint’s new Chinese Myths & Legends Series launches with a depiction of the Chinese dragon. This collection picks up on the history of the dragon designs first released by the mint in 2017 that included combinations of the dragon and phoenix, dragon and tiger, and the double dragon.

    Traditionally regarded as the embodiment of the Emperor, the Chinese dragon is revered as benevolent, noble and is a potent symbol of abundance and good fortune.
    Reverse
    : designed, by Natasha Muhl, features an incredibly detailed, beautifully colored red and gold image of a Chinese dragon, depicted in a serpentine shape, clasping a pearl in one of its claws. The background includes representations of clouds, denoting the dragon’s celestial realm.
    The two colors are representative of joy and wealth. There is also the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
