  • Condition: Everything was tested and the system was partially disassembled to see why both cassette decks do not play. Both motors work, the belts seem good all of the keys work. i found two identical springs inside, one under each deck. this spring pushed the heads and pinch rollers up to contact the tape and capstan drive. without these springs when PLAY BUTTON is pushed the head and pinch roller unit only rises partially. When I raise the unit manually everything starts moving as designed. I am including the two springs and the mounting nub I found broken off laying in the bottom the cassette drive

    Description

    Custom configuration vintage audio system.
    1987 Pioneer RX-1190 125W Per channel dual cassette receiver equalizer, AM/FM Tuner, internal turntable pre-amp.
    1989 INFINITY RS 2001 75W Per channel 4,800Hz crossover 6ohm polysherite tweeter, IMG Woofer. Frequency response 55hz-22khz
    1986 Technics SL-BD20 Belt drive Auto Return, auto stop, DC Servo Control, 33.3/45 rpm.
    B6 Bluetooth transmit/receive adapter for legacy audio systems. Allows wireless streaming to this beautiful legacy system. And reconfigured it allows transmission from this beautiful legacy system to wireless speakers.
    Incredible vintage audio. The Bluetooth is brand new. The receiver has full function with the exception of the cassette drives. They run with good motors, belts, gears, heads, pinch rollers, (SEE PICTURES) but both decks experienced stress cracks at the support for the spring that pushes the head and pinch roller carriage up to the cassette and capstan drive in each deck. THE SPRINGS ARE BOTH INCLUDED ALONG WITH ONE OF THE PLASTIC MOUNTS that held the springs in place originally. This is the only reason the cassette decks aren’t fully functional. The speakers are restored with new foam surrounds on both woofers. The turntable functions fully with a good cartridge/stylus included.
    Due mainly to the things mentioned and the age of the systems, this package is listed as NOT WORKING, FOR PARTS ONLY. It is to be purchased with full recognition that there are no warranties or promises as to the usability of the system as a whole or any of its individual components. It is being priced in recognition of the level of risk on the part of the buyer.
    The items mentioned in this listing are the only items included. Speaker wire not included. Please figure out placement of included speakers and if you are going to add a second pair calculate needed wire for those also. The cables needed to connect the Bluetooth receiver/transmitter are included. Also, a small USB plug in power supply is included to allow plugging the Bluetooth unit into the AC outlet on the rear of the receiver. Turntable grounded RCA cables also included. The receiver and turntable each have attached AC power cords.
